July 31, 2019 – Andreas Bromba spent ten days in the Kaliningrad region, also known as Northern East Prussia. It was his 15th trip to Königsberg/Kaliningrad and its surroundings. Many things have improved, but some, unfortunately, have not, such as the poor condition of German architectural monuments, as well as simple houses, buildings, and churches in the countryside. The people are always open and friendly – it was a wonderful reunion. Here is a small selection from over 1000 images.
The artist talk with curator Anna Karpenko at the ART VOROTA art space was also lively and open. The day after, 40 motifs from Andreas Bromba’s “Mystical Series” illustrated the concert of Kaliningrad avant-garde musician “STIRLITZ” (Andrey Kolomytzev).
