09.06.2024 – On Thursday, June 13, I will be opening my exhibition in the showroom of PixelGrain Lab, Berlin. It is a premiere, as for the first time I will be showing the minimalist cityscapes hamburg minimal and münchen minimal, in an exciting juxtaposition with berlin minimal, the highly successful original project.
Under the title The Small Within the Large – Minimalism in Photography, the photo project reveals transformation on three different levels – it documents the transformation in the cities and encourages viewers to rediscover the familiar in new ways. The minimalist series create a different, new perspective on one’s own city: they foster generosity, tolerance, and activity (walking and exploring). People themselves are now in a state of transformation! And the creation of the series is also in process: from analog to digital – without being superficial or losing the soul of the series. Transformation also occurs from series to series, sometimes even within the series themselves.
With The Small Within the Large, the showroom:photographie is presenting for the first time the three series berlin minimal (2004/2005) – münchen minimal (since 2020) – hamburg minimal (since 2022) in one exhibition.
