2018-07-02 – BERLIN ROYAL – this is the new photo series following and alongside the successful photo concepts berlin minimal, “Mystical Series”, “Other Worlds” and “City from Below”.
The first motifs of BERLIN ROYAL were created in August 2018. The series is being continuously continued; the goal is a photo book as well as exhibitions. The first motifs were exhibited at Neue Art Dresden in January 2019.
The concept is to show royal Prussian and imperial Berlin – without nostalgia or ignorance. The achievements of the architects and master builders, the designers, sculptors and craftspeople are to be honoured. And, of course, viewers of the photographs are to be encouraged to see the queens and kings, emperors and generals of that time with a fresh perspective, because by the standards of their era, often in difficult times, they tried to do their best for the people entrusted to them, for science and for the arts.
There are currently around 40 motifs.
